Cyberpunk 2077 Expansion is Releasing in 2023

CD Projekt Red’s one of the most anticipated titles “Cyberpunk 2077” was released a while ago but things went south when the game was found to have many bugs. In fact, CD Projekt Red had to announce a full refund to the subscribers. The studio focused on fixing the bugs rather than releasing any more expansions and DLCs. Developers released patches one after another and soon almost all the bugs were solved. The studio has finally announced the expansions are on the way but alas, not soon enough. Gamers will still have to wait a year or so to get their hands on the expansions.
The game studio told the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion was in development at the time of the initial release of the game. However, due to the bugs reported by gamers, we had to stop expansion plans and focus on making the game better. The 1.5 updated which was released in February 2022 has solved all the issues and another fixer will roll out in March this year. These updates took a while and have slowed the development, but new content is still coming, probably by next year.
CD Projekt joint CEO Adam Kicinski said, “We are fully committed to the Cyberpunk franchise, and intend to develop it further”
“After the 1.5 updates, we are working on the 1.6 updates which will be out soon. We are constantly working on optimizing the game so everyone gets a good experience while playing it. The support for Cyberpunk will continue and we will evolve to make Cyberpunk and The Witcher franchises available for gamers around the world. Currently, the part of our team is working on the expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 and we have targeted to release it in 2023,” he added.
